MRCOOL DIY® 1/2" x 1/4" Coupler Kit – Without Communication Wire

Easily extend your MRCOOL DIY® system with this 1/2" x 1/4" Coupler Kit. Designed to connect two pre-charged Quick Connect line sets together, this kit gives you the flexibility to run longer refrigerant lines while keeping installation simple.

  Important Notes:

• This listing is for couplers only (no communication/control wire included).

• If you extend your system beyond the standard 25 ft. line set, you may also need an extended control wire kit. We offer couplers with control wire included if needed.

• Many homeowners choose to route refrigerant lines and control wires along different paths — these couplers make that possible.

Compatibility:

• Works with single-zone and multi-zone systems.

• Compatible with both 4th Gen and older MRCOOL systems (R-410A) and 5th Gen systems (R-454B).

• For 6k, 9k, 12k, and 18k air handlers (wall and ceiling cassette).

• 24k and 36k air handlers require a larger coupler kit.

 3/8" x 5/8" MRCOOL DIY Couplers – Without Communication Wire

This coupler set is designed exclusively for MRCOOL 24K and 36K BTU DIY Mini Splits, supporting 3/8" liquid and 5/8" suction lines. Ideal for longer line set runs. We are the only authorized MRCOOL dealer offering this bundle without the control wire, giving you more flexibility in your install.

 3/8" x 3/4" Couplers – Universal, HyperHeat, and VersaPro™ Systems - 1st Gen or 2nd Gen

These heavy-duty pre-charged couplers are made for MRCOOL’s high-performance central ducted systems, including the Universal Series, Hyper Heat, and VersaPro™ Heat Pumps. Compatible with both 1st Gen and 2nd Gen models, this connection type supports larger system requirements for superior whole-home heating and cooling. Important Note on Line Set Sizing for Multi-Zone Systems

When selecting line sets and couplers for your MRCOOL system, it’s essential to choose the correct size based on the air handler connected to that zone, not the overall condenser size.

Even if you’re installing a 27K, 36K, 48K, or 55K BTU multi-zone condenser, each line set must match the BTU rating of the specific indoor air handler on that circuit.

 Single-zone systems are straightforward—line set sizes are fixed based on the system capacity.

 Multi-zone systems can vary—you must select line sets and/or adapters based on each air handler’s size (6K, 9K, 12K, 18K, 24K, etc.), not the total system capacity.

This ensures proper refrigerant volume, pressure balance, and performance across all zones.
