The MRCOOL® DIY Hybrid 48K Multi-Zone Heat Pump System delivers professional-level comfort with true DIY convenience—combining ducted whole-home airflow with a low-profile ceiling cassette for targeted zoning where traditional wall units aren’t ideal.

 

This custom hybrid system is powered by the MRCOOL® DIY® 5th Generation 48,000 BTU multi-zone condenser and paired with a 36,000 BTU DIY Hybrid ducted air handler and a 6,000 BTU one-way ceiling cassette. The result is a balanced, high-efficiency solution ideal for living areas, hallways, basements, offices, bedrooms, and modern open-concept spaces.

 

Thanks to MRCOOL®’s patented DIY® QuickConnect® technology, installation requires no vacuum pump, no gauges, and no licensed HVAC technician. The system uses R-454B refrigerant, a next-generation, environmentally responsible refrigerant designed to deliver excellent efficiency with lower global warming potential.
